| Amp/Receiver/Speaker... | Speaker settings on STR-DA7100ES | Hello eldo472, My suggestion would be to set all speakers to small and then adjust your speakers and subwoofers cutoffs. Then use your test tone to adjust the levels of all speakers to as close as the same as possible. Set your sound level meter to "C" weighting and the response to "slow". Give it a listen and see how it sounds. joe |
| Amp/Receiver/Speaker... | RM TP1 Remote Commander problems | ccon, I put my RM-TP1 in the drawer several years ago. I replaced it with a Harmony 880. The Harmony remote does everything the RM-TP1 does and much more. Also much simpler to create the macros and your settings are stored on line for you. Simple to add or remove components and it has all the settings for your DA-7ES receiver. I liked the Harmony so much that I purchased a second one for my bedroom system. Joe |
| Amp/Receiver/Speaker... | RM TP1 Remote Commander problems | cconn, I have not heard of the RM TP1 acting like yours. Although their might be a problem with the remote itself the only simple thing I can think of is trying a hard reset of the remote using a paper clip on the back of the remote. Do be aware that you will lose all your settings and macros that you might have created by doing this. Please let us know if you find a solution. Best of luck, Joe |

It sounds like you have everything hooked up correctly and it is normal not to get any sound from the rear surrounds on most BR movies. Although there are some Blu Ray movies with 7.1 most are in 5.1 and do not matrix sound to the rear surrounds. I found THIS site that lists some of the Blu Ray movies and audio disks in 7.1, I am sure that there are more that are not listed. My guess is that the move 300 is in 5.1 and that is why you have nothing coming from the rear surrounds. H .. |

When you say tapping on the case the center speaker starts working it sounds like a connection problem. Start easy and disconnect and reconnect all ribbon cables to ensure the connections are good and retest. If the problem still exists, I would be suspicious of a cold solder joint. Check for any questionable solder joints and if you are capable, try touching up the joint connections. Somewhere to start. Please let us know how things go. Joe |

Make sure that the cooling fans are operational and are clean. Also recheck that the lamp assembly is properly seated and the cover is not warped from over heating. Joe |

It will take you longer to read the post than it will take to actually change the lamp. The five blink error code for your KDF60WF655 is a "Lamp Driver Error". No picture, no sound. If you haven't already change the lamp that would be the first thing to try. The lamp can be found on line for a little under $200(USD). I would recommend getting the complete housing assembly not just the bulb. Also, there are after market suppliers but we have had reports of the lamps not lasting as long and not being as bright. Genuine Sony would be my suggestion. Changing the lamp takes .. |

If it does, that would be the first place I would start. Go to "SYSTEM"---"HARDWARE"---"DEVICE MANAGER" and make sure that the driver is installed for your Vaio's wireless card. If you see a yellow ! or ? you will need to install the driver. Does your wireless router support W7? You may need to do a firmware update on the router. Do you have a WEP or WPA code set on your router that needs to be entered? Lastly, have you tried to conne .. |
