I have had this television for about 4 years now and I love it.Today I was playing xbox360 on it and after about 15 minutes of being on it just shuts off. Then I turn it on, thinking maybe I hit the sleep timer and didn't see it or something. Then it happens again.....and again and again. It stays on for 15 minutes or so and then shuts off. Currently the TV is on and working. If by \"shuts down\" you mean when I turn the TV off, then there are no blinking lights from the stand by/timer. If you mean when the picture doesn\'t come on when the TV is turned on, sometimes I count 5 blinks, but it is erratic. As I say, right now the TV is on and working. Once the picture comes on, it seems able to run indefinitely. |

| First 650 characters of this post | Hello, I have a Sony 53" XBR45 Projection TV. The sound is perfectly fine but there is no picture. I have checked the cables and they are fine since they work on other TVs. When I turn on the TV, the standby/timer light blinks 4 times and then stops blinking. Sometimes there is a red line in the center of the screen curving downwards. Do I need to replace the bulb? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,SPH |

ONE Blink--- not used for the self-diagnosis
TWO Blinks---B+ over current protection (OCP) , unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 2 blink fault. Could be a short in the power supply of any of the circuits.

| First 650 characters of this post | I have a strange problem that just developed with my Sony KV-32FS13 Trinitron: the audio stays fine, but the picture blanks out to black for a second or two every couple of seconds, and then comes back.
the front timer/standby light blinks five times, pauses, and starts blinking again. This blinking does not stop no matter what I do, turn the TV off, unplug it for a couple of hours, etc.
