| First 650 characters of this post | Based on what I've read here on the Agoraquest forums my seven year old Sony Wega KV-40XBR800 whose stand-by light is blinking seven times (sometimes only six times) is basically going to cost more to repair than what it is worth (it cost $2,849.99 in october of 2002). Does everyone agree? Is there a market for the 400 pound doorstop? I can't imagine trying to move it let alone ship it somewhere. Right down to the initial observations and conditions he shared. The ONLY THING DIFFERENT ( really it\'s not much) is that my TV is a KV32XBR400!! ==It\'s Mfg. date is July 2000. I have the SERVICE MANUAL for the DX-1A Chassis from SONY. It covers 2 Models US and CND==(the KV-32\"and KV-36\" XBR400\'s) plus (the KV-38DRC1 and the KV-38DRC1C) Europe. Chassis Numbers: for the 32\"-- SCC-S47A-A and for the 36\"--SCC-S47B-A.

I went to watch TV yesterday morning before leaving for work and heard the TV Degauss as normal, but no picture came up. Then the TV powers off. All of a sudden their WEGA TV\'s, whether it be a year, 2 years or 3 or more years, suddenly just dies. And then they get no picture, no sound, and the standby light is flashing a series of lights. I have had my Sony Wega, Model #KV-32HS510, 32 inch, for just a year and 3 months. All of a sudden it dies on me, with the standby light flashing 6 times, then pausing for a second, then flashing 6 times again, and so on.

I had my D-board replaced and now I have a blurry picture. The tech came back and said that the EPPROM chip is not part of the d-board which was replaced. He said that the epprom is on another part of the set. He played with the adjustments but was unable to correct the problem and now claims it has nothing to do with my D-board, that\'s when I hit the roof.The new problem is that the side edges of the screen are slightly blurry for the first |
