Recommended after display the search results. I would open the links in a new window. Read the postings and when done close the window. And open the next posting that you want to read in a new window, close that window and repeat. This is probably the most efficient way.

Also, try the new Google Search which searches the entire Agoraquest website. Click here

For Televisions issues, red/green blinking lights, vertical lines, D Board, Lamp Driver and more.
I would vist our "Frequently Asked Questions for Sony Products" forum and read the "Television Trouble Shooting Information Packages" thread. There are several service bulletin packages that can help resolve those issues.
For Televisions issues with blue, green, optical block, extending warranty or other related issues
I would visit our new Sony Alert/Warranty recall section at Sony Recall/Warranty Section

Television TroubleshootingIs My Sony Wega KV-40XBR800 Dead?SirLoin32009-04-13 16:46
First 650 characters of this postBased on what I've read here on the Agoraquest forums my seven year old Sony Wega KV-40XBR800 whose stand-by light is blinking seven times (sometimes only six times) is basically going to cost more to repair than what it is worth (it cost $2,849.99 in october of 2002). Does everyone agree? Is there a market for the 400 pound doorstop? I can't imagine trying to move it let alone ship it somewhere.   My previous Sony Trinitron CRT hasn't died after 22 years (as far as I know, I gave it away three months ago) what a shame that new technology doesn't last! It will

First 650 characters of this postTwo weeks after my four year extended warrantly expired my Sony WEGA KV36HS500 tv would not turn on. I noticed that the red stand-by light would flash six times pause and flash six times again. I read previous posts on different model sony tv\'s that indicated that the thermal fuse needed to be replaced. Are the blinking light indicators the same for all sony model tv\'s? Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.

First 650 characters of this postHi Bob, Your Welcome and ABSOLUTLY I DID. I HOPE THAT \"iHATETOMATOES\" WILL READ IT TOO. His experience is exactly the same as mine to the letter. Right down to the initial observations and conditions he shared. The ONLY THING DIFFERENT ( really it\'s not much) is that my TV is a KV32XBR400!! ==It\'s Mfg. date is July 2000. I have the SERVICE MANUAL for the DX-1A Chassis from SONY. It covers 2 Models US and CND==(the KV-32\"and KV-36\" XBR400\'s) plus (the KV-38DRC1 and the KV-38DRC1C) Europe. First 650 characters of this postMy problem is as follows. I have a Sony Wega (KV-36XBR450) about 4 years old. I went to watch TV yesterday morning before leaving for work and heard the TV Degauss as normal, but no picture came up. Then the TV powers off. The front STDBY led blinks 4 times each time it powers off. . I tried unplugging it and leaving it off overnight, then plug it in. No help. I do hear sound, but no picture! I was just watching TV the night before and did not see anything weird??? Anyone seen this before, or know what this blinking trouble code points to?Thanks!!

First 650 characters of this postNeed help/advice... my Sony WEGA XBR keeps turning off by itself after 5-6 minutes; the stand by/timer light keeps blinking, and I have to wait another 4-5 minutes before I\'m able to turn it on again... anyone with this problem?, what could it be?By the way, I think the stand by light is blinking a trouble code, it blinks six (6) times after each pause... any hints?Note: I have been having electrical problems, and although I have a battery back-up/surge protector, seems to me that the Wega suffered some damage....  Need your advice.  Thanks!

All of a sudden their WEGA TV\'s, whether it be a year, 2 years or 3 or more years, suddenly just dies. And then they get no picture, no sound, and the standby light is flashing a series of lights. I have had my Sony Wega, Model #KV-32HS510, 32 inch, for just a year and 3 months. All of a sudden it dies on me, with the standby light flashing 6 times, then pausing for a second, then flashing 6 times again, and so on. I saw that someone posted the same problem on this
