| Television Troubleshooting | KDL-40W2000 4 Blinking Red Lights | Gluto | 3 | 2009-10-11 05:11 |
| First 650 characters of this post | Hi All I have the above problem and was seeking some advice. The TV is 2 years old and has been fine until yesterday. I have read the codes and am slightly confused as some places say Backlight and others V STOP? I have done some Fault finding. I dont think my LCD Screen is at fault as when I disconnect it I get the same fault code. I dont think it is the Inverter Board (PCB2676/7) as when I disconnect that either at output or input I get the same fault. I do not think it is the LVDS Board (400HSC4LV2) as I also get the same fault. |
| Television Troubleshooting | Sony KDF-55WF655 restarts every 3 minutes | texpilot | 6 | 2009-10-05 22:39 |
| First 650 characters of this post | Our KDF-55WF655 is now restarting itself every 3 minutes or so (in the past it restarted occassionally, but now it's doing so perpetually). By "restart" I mean the picture goes black, audio shuts off, green light flashes as it normally does when first turned on, then the picture comes back, followed in 2-3 seconds by the audio. The Operating Instructions say the flashing green light means "The lamp for the light source is ready to turn on." Right. It was just on!Twice this weekend when the set was turned off, the red light went into a fiv |

| First 650 characters of this post | KF-42WE610 - Picture and sound for 20 seconds and then 5 blinking lightsLike many others, I have a KF-42WE610 TV that started giving the Power/Standby 5 blink code. I turn on my TV and everything seems normal as I have both picture and sound. Then, after 20 seconds or so, my TV loses both picture and sound for several seconds and then everything comes back to normal for 20 seconds or less. This would repeat until I powered off the TV. During this time my Power/Standby light remains green. When I power off the TV, the Power/Standby light blink |
| Television Troubleshooting | KP-57WV600 seven blinks and no red tube | benjyheins | 2 | 2009-06-16 22:58 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I have a Sony KP-57WV-600 that will come on for about five seconds and then the screen will go black with the diagnostic code of seven blinking lights. From what I've read, this means that "High voltage shutdown. The high voltage has exceeded 33k and the unit goes immediately into safety shutdown. Check power supply regulation and horizontal circuits." For those few seconds when the TV turns on, only the blue and green tubes will power up. I've tried adjusting the screws in the front of the set to no avail. I even switched some of the leads coming out of the box to see if it would help. Any id |

| First 650 characters of this post | I would like to chime in with some comments about my Sony KF-42WE610 LCD TV. I purchased this TV in October of 2003 from Best Buy for $2,799.00. At the time, I purchased a four year protection plan, but up until now, the TV has never given me any trouble. I could not have been more pleased with the picture and the sound. In the past few months, I had been having trouble getting the TV to turn on right away, until it would no longer turn on at all. The green light in front would blink several times, while making a buzzing sound. The green light would go out, turn red and blink five times. There |

| First 650 characters of this post | I have a Sony KDFE55A20 LCD Projection TV.As soon as I turn the TV on,in about 1 minute the screen turns black and I loose sound. About 30 seconds later the picture comes back on and the sound follows it about 10 seconds back on as well. This is a constant process that keeps happening 1 minute on and 30 seconds off. During this whole time while this is going on my green light is constantly on to show that I still have power going to the TV. I dont have any blinking or red lights that indicate any possible codes that it can be. Has anyone had A problem like this and what can I do to fix this pr |

| First 650 characters of this post | Quick History:
I had this problem for a while and was able to fix it by pushing on the lamp door. 6 to 8 weeks ago, this stopped working and I had to call Sears (the only person who works on this type of TV up here) and he came out and got the thing working but said there was a service bulletin out about units overheating and that Sony recommended replacing a thermal fuse board int he machine.
I talked my wife into this upgrade repair (again, Seas found and fixed the original problem, a broken fan), JEHill sent me the service bulletin for my records and to assist the service |

| First 650 characters of this post | After getting home from work today I went to watch some old star trek episodes on my tv. I hadnt realized the blinking LED lights. I hit the power button on the television (green blinking standby light), I get approx 1 second of video and sound. The tv then cuts off and has a POWER/STANDBY light that blinks red 4 times, pause, 4 times, pause. I have contacted sony and the rep informed me that this is from no vertical deflection and the part i may need to replace is IC1509 or G1505. Is there any credibility to this, can I replace the part myself? any help is severely appreciated. Thank you

| First 650 characters of this post | I have the Sony KDF60XS955 TV and last night the TV just shut off in the middle of a movie. It powered back on one time and then shut off again. It now gives me 5 blinking red lights then pause then 5 blinking red lights, etc. I called Sony and chatted with a Sony rep without getting any help. Their only suggestion was to unplug it and plug it back in. When I attempt to turn on the TV, you can hear the fan start and the light blinks green for about 30-60 seconds and then goes into standby mode or shuts off and blinks 5 times in red. At this point, I |

| First 650 characters of this post | I am experiencing a problem with my KF42WE610 that I have not seen discussed anywhere. First, my TV is just over 2 years old. The problem started a couple days ago, 8 days after the extended warranty expired (typical).
When I turn on the set everything is normal for about a minute. Then the screen goes black and there is no sound. The screen and sound return after about 1 minute. Then the cycle repeats (minute on, minute off). The POWER/STANDBY indicator is green the entire time. The only time I get any kind of problem code is when I turn the TV off when it is in the black scr |

I had my D-board replaced and now I have a blurry picture. The tech came back and said that the EPPROM chip is not part of the d-board which was replaced. He said that the epprom is on another part of the set. He played with the adjustments but was unable to correct the problem and now claims it has nothing to do with my D-board, that\'s when I hit the roof. The new problem is that the side edges of the screen are slightly blurry for the first |
