| First 650 characters of this post | After going to sony`s tech site they basically tell you to bring the set to a repair shop cost $100.00 TO LOOK at it/I disconnected my dvr/cable box-Roku box and DVD/VHS recorder. All worked fine for years plugged in. I reset it as instructed by Sony using remote control reset button and power button on TV. I hear sound for 1 second and then it goes into a 6 blinking light standby. I wouldn`t mind trying to repair it myself but never having done something like this before. | First 650 characters of this post | My KV-40XBR800 would not power on yesterday, last night it did, this morning it was blinking 7 times, pause, blink 7. I did some googleing and heard to to do a hard reset by unplugging for 4 hrs. After 8 hours when plugged back in the set flashed white snow, went horizontal then gave a 4 blink code. I let the set sit for another 1/2 hr and tried agin, it flashed white snow again, went horizontal but is now back to blinking 7, pause, blinking 7. I originally suspected the D board based on what I have read in the FAQ's but am now wondering with the Vert stop issue as indicated by the blink 4. |

| First 650 characters of this post | I have the same problem with my Sony KF-60XBR800. The set turns on, and then after a couple of minutes, it seems to power cycle. Then the \"stand-by\" lamp flashes for a bit and the picture comes back on.
The same \"stand-by\" light flashing would occur normally if you were to turn the set off, and then immediately turn it back on. It normally will wait a minute before the picture will display. This is what leads me to believe it is something overheating, a relay tripping, or a breaker popping and resetting.

Never place anything under of over this unit. Here are the common issues.Symptom: DEAD, no power, No internal blown fusesSolution: The power supply board has bad capacitors. The strange part is the tv still works perfectly but i have to turn it on twice. The first time I get the error code second time everything works fine??? Thank goodness I thought it was only me, what a true blessing to have come across this post, as I am experiencing the same exact problem.
Long story short:Woman at work talking of giving away a computer she had at home, and was upgrading only because the machine she did not want anymore, was a 98SE machine. Claimed it worked perfect. I told her I would take it and mess with it.
Machine truly is very clean. It is a Sony Model # PCV-R553DS.
But, I am having the same problem with the keyboard and mouse not working.

Seems like the camera can\'t decide between aperture/shutter combos and toggles between settings like crazy. Viewfinders toggle between dark and normal at the same time. I just bought a Sony STR-K9900P home theater receiver on ebay last week and it came with the center, mains, and surrounds and back. just didn\'t come with a subwoofer. These are all the correct speakers (6ohms) for the original HT-6900DP home theater in a box where this receiver was bundled.
