I would run the self diagnostic test which can be seen in the Frequently Asked question section. Also, are there any other visible issue that you see around the lamp area. I think this model is prone to warp door for the lamp door due to the heat. Could be the lamp driver but not entirely sure on that. I would check the lamp area.

I have checked the bulb but according to what I have read on here it most likely is the Sony 1-468-798-16 Lamp Power Supply Block. My questions are this.....Where is the power supply block and how does one replace it? Do I need a manual?I want to fix it myself...well, have my handy husband fix it. Usually what occurs for lamp replacement is the TV dies no video or sound after being turned on for 10 seconds to 2 minutes. But yours turns right back on after being turned off automatically which is odd. Normally after it dies, it starts a red blinking action. I think replacing the lamp will fix this issue.
