Also, try the new Google Search which searches the entire Agoraquest website. Click here

For Televisions issues, red/green blinking lights, vertical lines, D Board, Lamp Driver and more.
I would vist our "Frequently Asked Questions for Sony Products" forum and read the "Television Trouble Shooting Information Packages" thread. There are several service bulletin packages that can help resolve those issues.
For Televisions issues with blue, green, optical block, extending warranty or other related issues
I would visit our new Sony Alert/Warranty recall section at Sony Recall/Warranty Section

First 650 characters of this postMy daughter and son-in-law have a couple year old KDF-46E2000.  They are on their 2nd bulb.  They have 3 daughters who turn the TV on and off all the time.  With in the last couple days the set has now developed a transparent red band at the top and it looks like to me a green 1 at the bottom, I did a search and saw someone had a blue band at the bottom. The 2nd bulb was on it's way out for a couple of weeks, change bulb message, so my son-in-law changed the bulb.  He saw the same thing with the new bulb.  He then put the old bulb ba

First 650 characters of this postWelcome to Agoraquest!  Unfortunately, green blinks don\'t indicate error codes.  Only red blinks do and the blinks have to repeat as in n blinks, pause, n blinks, etc.  The error code that indicates that the thermal fuse needs to be replaced is 6 red blinks, pause, 6 red blinks, etc.  See the instructions in the \"Frequently Asked Questions for Sony Products\" forum \"Television Troubleshooting Information Packages\" thread for how to obtain the \"No power RED Standby LED flashes 6 times/KDF55XS955, KDF60XS955, KDFE55A20, KDFE60A20\" information package, if yo

First 650 characters of this postMax,I started with an STR-DA5000ES.  Which I loved.  Then I got an STR-DA9000ES.  My next step was to add in SSK90ED speakers. Follow my progress, which started in Oct 2005.  It's been a long road.  I have now accumulated two STR-DA9000ES's.  I still have the STR-DA5000ES, which now resides in my bedroom.  Plus twenty one SSK90ED speakers.  And two SSK30ED speakers.  As well as a DVP-NC555ES CD/DVD player. First 650 characters of this postI have a 2.5 year old Sony KDF55E2000 that started to have issues this past Saturday night. Every 15 minutes the tv would power down and start flashing 3 red led codes. I understand this code is for the LCD panel door or possibly the LCD. We have not recently done an LCD replacement and have not been in that LCD door. We turned the TV off on Saturday night and when we got up on Sunday the TV came on without issue. After about 2 hours of use, the TV started doing the same thing again. Powering itself off every 15 minutes. I called Sony and they had me pull the door and check the seating of the

First 650 characters of this postThanks to jehill and others who helped me in the main 9 blink tv thread.  I replaced the 6301 diode and put the G board back in and now the TV isn't giving me the 9 blink error code anymore and I think it starts up just fine...I am so happy and grateful and felt it was only fair to sign up for the Premium membership to help this site out!!!I do have two questions though.  With all this troubleshooting, I cannot remember if the TV normally blinks about 5 or 6 times at startup without repeating.  No error codes are coming on the diagnostic screen, but I

First 650 characters of this postHi all -- let me first apologize for the thread necromancy. I realize this is a long since dead-and-buried thread, but I wanted to follow up and confirm some things if you'll indulge me, since the OP's problem description fits mine pretty perfectly, but the response here raises a few questions for me.I've also got a KV-32HS510 CRT that's recently developed a severe chronic 6-blink problem (it went from "sometimes doesn't come on" to "permanently error-code catatonic" in the space of less than two weeks). I've picked up the service manual (an AMAZING premium-member service I can't p

First 650 characters of this postWell my Sony KDF-E55A20 did this in the past a few times and I didn't do anything but I left it alone for a bit, and it wouldn't do it again til yesterday, when it started doing it and it just kept doing it. Today I wanted to see the lamp and I did everything but take the lamp out. Then I decided to see if it was still doing it, and it works fine now. One thing I noticed for a while is that even though the TV was working fine(?) I couldn't hear the fans running. I didn't see any error codes, light stayed green. I figure I should replace the thermal fuse and have another one handy, but what abo
