| First 650 characters of this post | hello all I seem to be having an issue with my sony 55wf655, I was watching TV last week and I heard a loud POP and the set turned off. I turned the TV back on and the lamp light came on so I ordered a new bulb and replaced that. Now when I go to turn on the TV the following happens.The power LED blinks green like normal startup.I hear a sound three times, I assume this is the ballast trying to light the lamp.after about 45 seconds the power LED turns red and the lamp light blinks red continously.Any help diagnosing this issue will be greatly appreciat |

| First 650 characters of this post | I have a Sony KDF-E60A20, already replaced the thermal fuse last year, and a new lamp three months ago. But now there is a new problem, no picture/no sound. The Power light blinks green when turned on and a intermittent buzzing sound comes from the rear of the set, like a beard trimmer almost, and finally the power light turns from green to constant red followed by the 'Lamp' light blinking red continously non stop every second.Did anyone have this problem before or advice on a possible solution?Thanks in advance. |

The TV was working great until this past weekend. During a football game, the screen went blank (but sound was still working). | First 650 characters of this post | While I do not believe uninstalling the lamp and reinstalling it will resolve the problem, I will do that this weekend. The intermittent problem existed before replacing the lamp and still continues. While inadeequate cooling could be a concern, there is adequate circulation and clearance around the TV.I do not get a 4 blink error code. I get a green light that blinks forever (until I power the set off). I will try reinstalling the lamp to rule it out next however; I would not know what to consider following that. |

I spoke to Sony's tech who were pretty unhelpful but was able to eventually determine the lamp burnt out. I ordered a new one on Ebay and got it today and installed. The old one had blown so I at least replaced the right part. However, now when I turn on the tv, the power light blinks green a few times and then begins blinking red. Any ideas or help would be much appreciated! |

I have a PDM 4200 (2003) and a MBT MRL1 media unit (also 2003) and the standby light on the MRU blinks 9 times then stops and repeats. Also the standby light on the tv blinks from red to green. | First 650 characters of this post | Some added clarification for those of you experiencing the following:* TV video shuts off and green standby/power light blinks green continuously.* TV video turns back on a blinking stops.* Cycle repeats.* Audio stays on throughout. My fix was to replace the bulb, following the instructions in the owners manual and using Sony's parts/replacements/service website, searching on the model number of the TV itself (NOT the bulb part number). Total time to replace bulb: 10 minutes. This worked for me. Hope this information is helpful to oth |

I turn the unit on it blinks green lights with no picture then goes to 5 blinking red lights. I replaced the lamp as other post had mentioned. I am still getting the 5 blinking lights with no picture or sound? any suggestions?
