Keyword Tips If you are search for "50we610 blinking" try "we610 blinking". If you search for "5 blinking" try "five blinking". If you search for "Sony KDF-55wf655" try "55wf655" or better yet "wf655". Try searching with general search term first and then add more specific keywords to narrow it down.

Also, try the new Google Search which searches the entire Agoraquest website. Click here

For Televisions issues, red/green blinking lights, vertical lines, D Board, Lamp Driver and more.
I would vist our "Frequently Asked Questions for Sony Products" forum and read the "Television Trouble Shooting Information Packages" thread. There are several service bulletin packages that can help resolve those issues.
For Televisions issues with blue, green, optical block, extending warranty or other related issues
I would visit our new Sony Alert/Warranty recall section at Sony Recall/Warranty Section

    Television TroubleshootingSony KDF-55WF655 restarts every 3 minutestexpilot62009-10-05 22:39
First 650 characters of this postOur KDF-55WF655 is now restarting itself every 3 minutes or so (in the past it restarted occassionally, but now it's doing so perpetually).  By "restart" I mean the picture goes black, audio shuts off, green light flashes as it normally does when first turned on, then the picture comes back, followed in 2-3 seconds by the audio. The Operating Instructions say the flashing green light means "The lamp for the light source is ready to turn on."  Right.  It was just on!Twice this weekend when the set was turned off, the red light went into a fiv

First 650 characters of this postKF-42WE610 - Picture and sound for 20 seconds and then 5 blinking lightsLike many others, I have a KF-42WE610 TV that started giving the Power/Standby 5 blink code. I turn on my TV and everything seems normal as I have both picture and sound.  Then, after 20 seconds or so, my TV loses both picture and sound for several seconds and then everything comes back to normal for 20 seconds or less. This would repeat until I powered off the TV. During this time my Power/Standby light remains green. When I power off the TV, the Power/Standby light blink

First 650 characters of this postI've got a Sony KV-24FV12 that croaked the other day.  When turned on (with remote or front panel), a rapid succession of clicks (7 or 8) can be heard then after a few seconds of normal standby LED blinking it will power off.  There's never a picture or sound, and I've left it unplugged for several hours with no change. I get blink codes from the standby light after it powers off.  Usually it blinks four times first, then repeats five blinks indefinitely.  I presume this means I have code 4 and 5 in succession.  Sometimes I'll just

First 650 characters of this postI have a strange problem that just developed with my Sony KV-32FS13 Trinitron: the audio stays fine, but the picture blanks out to black for a second or two every couple of seconds, and then comes back. the front timer/standby light blinks five times, pauses, and starts blinking again. This blinking does not stop no matter what I do, turn the TV off, unplug it for a couple of hours, etc. The very strange thing is that if I change the picture mode(?) to MOVIE, which has a color temp of WARM, the flashing stops, and the video picture works fine. If I switch to VIVID, SPORTS,

First 650 characters of this postI don\'t have a solution for you but I thought I would let you know I have a similiar problem with a KP53V45. I just spent several hundred dollars to have a convergence problem fixed and today (five days after previous repair) my TV is now dead. Just a continuous blinking of the power/standby light and a sound like a turn signal in a car.

First 650 characters of this postI seem to be having the same issue.  It has been happening for about a year, but has gotten progressively worse.  Screen goes black, solid green standby for a minute and then five blinking red lights.  Sometimes the screen will go black and then come back on before the blinking begins, but most of the time I lose it completely.  What\'s weird is that sometimes it will go a day or two without cutting out and then other times it will only last 20 minutes.  Sometimes it will cut back on after the fan stops; other times it takes an hour or more.  My serial number appe

First 650 characters of this postAccording to official sources it means:FIVE Blinks---AKB circuit (AKB), the timer/standby indicator blinks for about 30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function. Something is wrong with the video. Check video out, Q705, 732, 761 and other components on the C board, also check Q218, 219, 220 on the A board. Also unit be in IK blanking, try turning up screen slightly. So I think this means it can be repared. For more Sony blinking issues check: http://www.iwaynet.net/~nesda/SonyBlink.html

If the timer/standby indicator is blinking, this could be an indication of the problem with the unit. The diagnostic blinking will occur automatically with no action required by you to engage it.The timing of the blinking you see would be as follows: two to eight blinks (depending on the fault) about a third of a second apart, then pauses for 3 seconds, then the two to eight blinks about a third of a second apart again.

First 650 characters of this postI need some assistance with a problem that started around two weeks ago. While I was watching a dvd, my screen slowly turn a blue hue. When I tried to turn the tv off and on, the standby light started blinking five times. I was able to get the tv back on after several attempts, but everything has a blue outline. I had a technician come out to look at the tv today. He was able to restore the tv back to its original state, but the blue outline returned several hours later after I hit the flash focus. He\'s now talking about pick the tv up, but I\'m not sure if this is normal practice/procedure.
