Keyword Tips If you are search for "50we610 blinking" try "we610 blinking". If you search for "5 blinking" try "five blinking". If you search for "Sony KDF-55wf655" try "55wf655" or better yet "wf655". Try searching with general search term first and then add more specific keywords to narrow it down.

Recommended after display the search results. I would open the links in a new window. Read the postings and when done close the window. And open the next posting that you want to read in a new window, close that window and repeat. This is probably the most efficient way.

Also, try the new Google Search which searches the entire Agoraquest website. Click here

For Televisions issues, red/green blinking lights, vertical lines, D Board, Lamp Driver and more.
I would vist our "Frequently Asked Questions for Sony Products" forum and read the "Television Trouble Shooting Information Packages" thread. There are several service bulletin packages that can help resolve those issues.
For Televisions issues with blue, green, optical block, extending warranty or other related issues
I would visit our new Sony Alert/Warranty recall section at Sony Recall/Warranty Section

First 650 characters of this postHello, this is most probabely caused by a shortened line output transistor Q533. In that case, you´ll measure a short between the ´C´ and ´E´ pins of the transistor. There are 2 reason this transistor becomes shortened. First is a due to a defective flyback transformer, but the most seen problem is that there are some dry joints in the driver stage of the line output transistor. The ´B´ pin of Q533 is connected by some resistors to a small transformer. These resistors, the transformer and the driving transistor at the ´other´ side of the driving transformer co

First 650 characters of this postHello, how stupid of me:Did you check the (bridge) rectifier for the audio supply voltage? I don\'t have the manual at hand right now, and I don\'t know by heart what kind of rectifier is used. This can clarify why the ground resistor was open en why error 2 is displayed now.By the way: there is one strange element in your story, because you wrote that the main relay doesn\'t close. Normally the explanation of error 2 is an over-current situation of the power supply. To be able to produce more current as defined, you should think the supply must be working first.

First 650 characters of this postHello, this has nothing to do with the set-top box itself. Only the connection of the scart-connector could cause the printed circuit board to deform, and as a result some solder connections could become loose when the set is warm. Does the set now work after first switching on, or is the state that the error 2 is displayed permanently? If the set starts immediately to blink with error 2, the line output transistor Q533 would be shortened and has to be replaced. The typenumber is 2SD2539 and the Sony partnumber is 8-729-040-62.The root cause of the problem are bad
Television TroubleshootingQuestion for Bora Bora from FriekBorabora22004-09-13 14:50
