| First 650 characters of this post | I know what you are thinking: "Jerry - you spent $2,000 on a Blu-rayplayer. Are you out of your mind?" Yes, I am out of my mind, forreasons other than my willingness to spend on my home theater as ifthere is no recession, yet the investment in a significant Blu-rayplayer for my main home theater rig is looking better and better eachday. The common misconception about Blu-ray is that, because it isclearly superior as a format compared to DVD-Video, you can simply buya cheapie Blu-ray player and get topnotch performance. While alower-priced Sony BDP-S360 is a very capable unit, it doesn't come w |

| First 650 characters of this post | For the value I think it's a great setKDL-40S4100 is a bit cheaper then the V series but I think the different is only $100The S4100 Series is Sony's entry level 1080p line of LCD televisions introduced in 2008. Succeeding the critically acclaimed S3000 series which won Consumer Reports best LCD TV in 2007, the 4100s upgrade the native resolution from 720p, to a FullHD 1080p. With the bump in resolution the new S series retains one if its key differentiators over most other televisions in this range with its 10-bit processing and 10-bit panel. As a step up from the S se |

| DVD | Experience with Sony BDZ-V9? | L7dar7 | 3 | 2007-07-01 00:24 |
| First 650 characters of this post | I do. I posted the following review in another forum. Hope it helps.I finally got myself what I had been dreaming of for a long time : a blu-ray standalone dvd recorder, direct from Japan. It\'s the BDZ-V9 from Sony. Since those blu-ray or hd-dvd recorders are available only in Japan (with apparently no plans to release them here in North America any time soon), information about them on the Internet, as far as I can tell, is scarce so I thought it might be a good idea to share my experience here.
One the main reasons why I wanted one was to be able to transfer my H |

| First 650 characters of this post | Toli,Hopefully soon you will be able to receive DSL in your area. Perhaps pestering them or getting neighbors to request it too might help. I agree with you, once you have high speed internet connectivity using dial up is plain frustrating. As you know, I have DirecTV for my TV viewing but I use Comcast for my internet connectivity. In my area is is cheaper to subscribe to the basic cable package along with high speed internet so I have both, even though I have never even tried connecting the co-ax cable to any of my TV\'s. So basically, it cost me $62 (after taxes and f |

Well, I am having a problem now so I hope someone has an understanding and solution for it. Maybe for others it will be a help also. I have looked on the site for previous postings of this problem/solution but I didn\'t see any.
I have the KD-34XS955. It has the dual tuners, analog and digital. My problem is that most times when I turn the TV on the analog ch |

WASHINGTON -- Regulators adopted rules Wednesday to make cable television and new television sets more compatible, with the goal of promoting the rollout of digital and high-definition televisions.

| First 650 characters of this post | Thanks for the suggestions W! Your comments were very much appreciated. They actually just finished the electric in my house yesterday (I had to yell at them because they didn\'t do some things to plan, so they should have that corrected soon). I have a slight edge because I am an engineer who is actually conducting several inspections on the houses in this development. So I have all of their scheduling and the such. After the framing inspection, I was going to go in there and do all of my pre-wiring prior to insullation and sheetrocking of the wa |

| First 650 characters of this post | Take a look at the internet (if you have access). You can also get it cheaper. However, I have seen this box do wonders but just be sure whoever you buy this from will let you return it if it does not correct the problem. You are definitely seeing an AC ground loop problem.
Tell me how you are connecting your equipment. Maybe something else is picking up the signal. When I had this problem, I also replaced all the coax too. Be sure you are not using any splitters on the coax.
Since your coax is coming in from outside, if you have it going to multiple TVs, be sure you also c |
