| First 650 characters of this post | Based on what I've read here on the Agoraquest forums my seven year old Sony Wega KV-40XBR800 whose stand-by light is blinking seven times (sometimes only six times) is basically going to cost more to repair than what it is worth (it cost $2,849.99 in october of 2002). Does everyone agree? Is there a market for the 400 pound doorstop? I can't imagine trying to move it let alone ship it somewhere. | First 650 characters of this post | Someone just gave me a 32 inch Sony Wega Trinitron KV-32fs120 that won't turn on. I was told if I can fix it, I can keep it.. so I thought I'd give it a shot. Right now, I'm trying to figure out what the blinking code is.. when I attempt to turn it on, it makes a click sound and the standby light blinks 5 times, pauses, and blinks 3 times. Anyone know what this means? I'm all up for buying parts if need be. But if it's going to cost a lot to fix it, I'd rather just buy a new tv. Thanks in advance!! |

| First 650 characters of this post | My Sony Television KV-32HS420 Trinitron WEGA connected to a Bose 321 sound system and Verizon Fios. When we try to turn the tv on, the timer/standby light flashes 7 times, pauses and repeates the 7 flashes again. We cannot even stop the television from blinking. It is indefinite. It worked fine last night but today it wont turn on. We have sound through the Bose system, but not the tv system. Any suggestions as to what my problem is and how to fix it? |

I went to turn it on and all it does is flash on the standby light (if it helps the lights flashes 7 times at a steady rate) can anyone tell me what part i need to fix it?

| First 650 characters of this post | I have a strange problem that just developed with my Sony KV-32FS13 Trinitron: the audio stays fine, but the picture blanks out to black for a second or two every couple of seconds, and then comes back.
the front timer/standby light blinks five times, pauses, and starts blinking again. This blinking does not stop no matter what I do, turn the TV off, unplug it for a couple of hours, etc.

Let me preface this with saying I have no television technical knowledge so if you respond, please be very basic.
I was watching TV yesterday and out of nowhere my TV made a cracking noise and the picture and sound disappeared and then turned off. When I tried to turn it back on, the Standby/Time light would just blink.
I did some research on this site and I realize that \'blinking\' is trying to tell me something, but I don\'t know what.
From what I can tell, it blinks 6 times when I turn it on...then two long blinks a few seconds after.

My brother just e-mailed me and asked of my assistance.
He has a Sony Trinitron (Model KV32T77) console.
While he the family were watching TV, it was like someone got up and turned off the TV...but no one did!
He said that he was going to bring the whole console to me...as I try and help my family as much as I can.

I had my D-board replaced and now I have a blurry picture. The tech came back and said that the EPPROM chip is not part of the d-board which was replaced. He said that the epprom is on another part of the set. He played with the adjustments but was unable to correct the problem and now claims it has nothing to do with my D-board, that\'s when I hit the roof.The new problem is that the side edges of the screen are slightly blurry for the first |
