If you search for "Sony KDF-55wf655" try "55wf655" or better yet "wf655". Try searching with general search term first and then add more specific keywords to narrow it down.

Recommended after display the search results. I would open the links in a new window. Read the postings and when done close the window. And open the next posting that you want to read in a new window, close that window and repeat. This is probably the most efficient way.

Also, try the new Google Search which searches the entire Agoraquest website. Click here

For Televisions issues, red/green blinking lights, vertical lines, D Board, Lamp Driver and more.
I would vist our "Frequently Asked Questions for Sony Products" forum and read the "Television Trouble Shooting Information Packages" thread. There are several service bulletin packages that can help resolve those issues.
For Televisions issues with blue, green, optical block, extending warranty or other related issues
I would visit our new Sony Alert/Warranty recall section at Sony Recall/Warranty Section

Television Misc and NewsV5100 native contrast ratio vs. Z,W, and XBRgmarceau12009-11-17 10:00
First 650 characters of this postI've noticed that Sony lists the V5100 series as having a 5000:1 contrast ratio while their other mid-high range lcds are listed at 3800:1. I thought that the W,Z, and XBR would have higher contrast ratios. Mistake on Sony's part or are the V series panels for 2009 getting a tad darker than the others? Thanks

    Amp/Receiver/Speakers/Connections/CablesRM TP1 Remote Commander problemscconn42009-11-16 12:29
First 650 characters of this postI have the Sony DA7ES which includes the RM TP1 Remote Commander.  Recently, the RM TP1 started acting weird -- sometimes the LCD display will not shut off, sometimes after it shuts off it will come back on all by itself, and sometimes the touchpad does not work at all, so I can't perform any function besides the ones that involve the hard buttons.  These problems have all come and gone over the last couple of weeks.  Anybody seen this before?  Any idea on how I can fix it before I'm forced to pay big bucks for a Harmony?  Thanks!
Television Misc and NewsQuestions about Bravia 52"wowza52009-11-09 13:07
First 650 characters of this postHello everyone, I'm looking to purchase a TV soon and I have a few questions. Basically, I've narrowed it down to two models:1) KDL52VL150 52” 120Hz 1080p LCD HDTV (about $300 more)and2) KDL52S5100 Sony Bravia S Series 52" 1080p LCD HDTVI'm aware that the main difference between the two is that TV #1 has a refresh rate of 120 Hz... I'm somewhat familiar of this concept, but I would like to have a better grasp of it. Is the refresh rate worth the extra $300? For the TV's use, it would primarily be watched for broadcast TV and movies

First 650 characters of this postThe back lighting is an integral part of the the LCD panel, meaning that the LCD panel may need to be replaced.  Unfortunately, I am unable to locate Sony information on how to troubleshoot this issue.  It could be that the actual problem is the power supply or inverter that powers the back lighting.
    Television Troubleshootingreplacement for 46xbr5WoolyGoat32009-11-03 01:05
First 650 characters of this postWould like some input on what Sony proposed to me:I have a kdl-46xbr5 which just went belly up (13 flashes on standby light) diagnosed as a dead lcd panel.  Out of warranty by 4 months and they offered me a kdl-46w5100 for 250 or a kdl-52xbr9 for 400. I was contemplating taking the 52 xbr9 as it would seem to be a nice upgrade but should I push for a xbr8 model instead b/c it has led backlight instead of the xbr9 which has a ccfl backlight.  They have been genuinely receptive except for the "lost in translation" part of dealing with reps in which english is not

First 650 characters of this postSony 46" LCD Model# KDL-46W3000 Around 3 years old. After firstpower up of the day the tv will stay on roughly 3 minutes and then shutdown by itself and the standby light will flash red 6 times. I can turnthe tv on again, but it will power down again with the same flashingcode. If I repeat turning it on about 3-5 times it will finally stay onand not power down again. I noticed that if I turn the tv off at nightand then turn it on again in the morning the problem will not occur. IfI wait and turn the tv on again the next day in the afternoon theproblem will occur again. It seems like
Television TroubleshootingNew optical block warranty extension alerts for all 2007 rear-projection TVsslinke12009-10-29 00:06
First 650 characters of this postI just wanted to let everybody know that, on 10/23/2009, Sony issued warranty extension alerts for all of their 2007 rear-projection TVs. Now, every Sony rear-projection model ever produced (2003-2007) has been the subject of a warranty extension, a class-action lawsuit, or both. See my informational web site for links and additional information. This also reveals a disturbing, but perhaps not surprising, reality related to the class-action lawsuit Sony settled for the 2005 SXRD models. The "Opinion and Order" in that s

First 650 characters of this postFor the KDL52XBR5, 5 blinks, pause, 5 blinks, etc. indicates a problem with the T-CON board.  Although the \"Replacing the TCON (timing control) board on LCD panels\" information package doesn\'t indicate that it applies to the KDL-52XBR5, it may be of value.  Just send me (jehill) a private message (PM) requesting it and I will email it to you.  Be sure to include your email address.  See the \"Frequently Asked Questions for Sony Products\" forum for instructions on how to send a PM.

First 650 characters of this postHi All I have the above problem and was seeking some advice. The TV is 2 years old and has been fine until yesterday. I have read the codes and am slightly confused as some places say Backlight and others V STOP? I have done some Fault finding. I dont think my LCD Screen is at fault as when I disconnect it I get the same fault code. I dont think it is the Inverter Board (PCB2676/7) as when I disconnect that either at output or input I get the same fault. I do not think it is the LVDS Board (400HSC4LV2) as I also get the same fault.

The beauty part is that I still have and use every power cord that
