Keyword Tips If you are search for "50we610 blinking" try "we610 blinking". If you search for "5 blinking" try "five blinking". If you search for "Sony KDF-55wf655" try "55wf655" or better yet "wf655". Try searching with general search term first and then add more specific keywords to narrow it down.

Recommended after display the search results. I would open the links in a new window. Read the postings and when done close the window. And open the next posting that you want to read in a new window, close that window and repeat. This is probably the most efficient way.

Also, try the new Google Search which searches the entire Agoraquest website. Click here

For Televisions issues, red/green blinking lights, vertical lines, D Board, Lamp Driver and more.
I would vist our "Frequently Asked Questions for Sony Products" forum and read the "Television Trouble Shooting Information Packages" thread. There are several service bulletin packages that can help resolve those issues.
For Televisions issues with blue, green, optical block, extending warranty or other related issues
I would visit our new Sony Alert/Warranty recall section at Sony Recall/Warranty Section

Television TroubleshootingNew thermal fuse, but still deaddryoung12009-11-05 10:31
First 650 characters of this postOn my KDF-50E2000 I have the six blinks.  I replaced the thermal fuse, but it still doesn't work.  I turn the TV on and it starts to warm up for about 5-6 seconds and then clicks and shuts down with the 6 blinks on the red LED power light.  Is there something else I should be looking at or do I need to reset something with the new thermal fuse to clear the error code?  I have the service manual, but it doesn't seem very helpful for this problem.  Thanks.

First 650 characters of this postSee my response to your PM.  Unfortunately, Sony hasn\'t provided a thermal fuse replacement procedure for the KDF-50E2000.  I did find an excellent photo of the thermal fuse connector in the service manual, but that\'s it!  I wasn\'t able to locate the part number.  Use the following link to order the service manual if desired.  Search for \"Termal\" to locate the photo (they misspelled thermal).http://www.agoraquest.com/manual_request.php

First 650 characters of this postHi, If it\'s power cycling where it\'s turning off and on it could be the ballast/lamp driver. I would clean out the back since it could be due to overheating. Continuously blinking is usually a lamp replacement. You could run the self diagnostic test that is in the Frequently Asked questions thread. I just saw another thread that I just responded to with the same model KDF46E2000 that had optical block issues.Sony will repair it for free until June 2010. Not entirely sure that this is the problem. However, you could call them and they will send a repair person t

First 650 characters of this postYou have a couple of options. You can contact the store you bought it from or contact Sony directly. I would contact Sony directly. The reason below. I checked and it\'s an optical block issue. It\'s not a lamp issue. Optical block issues can cost about $600 to $1000 to replace/repair. However, there is good news. Sony is aware of the issue and will fix the issue free of charge until June 2010 (it was just extend to June 2010) http://www.sony.ca/view/707.htm 2006 Model Year Microdisplay Rear Projection Television Issued: December 24, 2008; 1st Rev

First 650 characters of this postI think you may mean the KDF-50E2000?  Four flashes on this means \"Fan Error\"  It will need to be looked at by a Sony repair agent.

First 650 characters of this postI have a parts schematic given to me by Sony for my KDF-50E2000. I am trying to locate the Lamp Driver. Does anyone know what this is called? T2-Board, S2-Board? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

First 650 characters of this postMy KDF-50E2000 started shutting down by itself, we could turn it back on but it would shut off again in 20 minutes.Called Sony was told 3 flashing lights due to lamp door not being shut properly. Checked door, it was shut properly. Removed door and found lots of dust so I removed the lamp assembly and cleaned all the dust out.I reinstalled the lamp and door and from that time on the tv wont even turn on. I assumed that becuase I removed the door that the switch went from bad to broken so I ordered a T-board from Sony and installed the switch. Still will not power up.

First 650 characters of this postAlso, there is a new Sony Alert that we just posted for that model which expires in June 30, 2010. So if anything visually goes wrong before that date it more then likely is the optical block and Sony will fix it free.2006 Model Year Microdisplay Rear Projection Television Extended Warranty Information — Optical Block KDF-42E2000, KDF-46E2000, KDF-50E2000, and KDF-55E2000http://www.agoraquest.com/display_alert.php?alert_id=17

Television TroubleshootingKDF-50E2000 Red stripe at the top!jCotton22008-03-25 18:48
First 650 characters of this postHi, My KDF-50E2000 has developed a red color stripe at the top of the screen, and a faint blue one at the bottom. I first noticed them about 3 months ago when the were about 1" wide. They've both grown to about 4" since then. The unit is 18 months old and I would estimate that the lamp has 5-6k on it. I was shopping around for a new lamp, with the hope that the replacement would solve the color band problem, which is how I found this site. Before I buy a new lamp I was hoping that someone here might have some suggestions or ideas about this problem.
