| First 650 characters of this post | hi, i have a sony trinitron kv-36fv15. when i press the on button, the sound comes on but the screen stays blank. it doesnt light up either. the standy by/stereo light blinks continuously. i read the issues section: Continuous blink once a second, no pausing - No reply from the jungle IC301 data bus is busy, shorted to ground, or held high), IK video path is defective. another forum i think said to resolder the tuner grounds.i dont really know which wires these are, etc. so any help would be very much appreciated! |

No indication or degradation of picture leading up the shut down. Step 1 is to request the TA-N55ES service manual at http://www.agoraquest.com/manual_request.php, because you need the schematics in order to troubleshoot the amp. What you need to do is compare signal levels between channels with the same input applied to both. The best way to compare the signal levels is with an oscilloscope. You need to compare the signal levels (referenced to the chassis) at the following points:1. |

If the voltage of pin 33 of IC301 (MA Board) is less than 1V when V.SYNC is more than seven verticals in a period, the unit will automatically turn off. |

When the picture does appear it is very blue but you can see the images through the blue. If the channel is changed the blue screen will stay on. ONE Blink--- not used for the self-diagnosis
TWO Blinks---B+ over current protection (OCP) , unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 2 blink fault. Could be a short in the power supply of any of the circuits.
