Recommended after display the search results. I would open the links in a new window. Read the postings and when done close the window. And open the next posting that you want to read in a new window, close that window and repeat. This is probably the most efficient way.

Also, try the new Google Search which searches the entire Agoraquest website. Click here

For Televisions issues, red/green blinking lights, vertical lines, D Board, Lamp Driver and more.
I would vist our "Frequently Asked Questions for Sony Products" forum and read the "Television Trouble Shooting Information Packages" thread. There are several service bulletin packages that can help resolve those issues.
For Televisions issues with blue, green, optical block, extending warranty or other related issues
I would visit our new Sony Alert/Warranty recall section at Sony Recall/Warranty Section

First 650 characters of this posthi I\'m having the same kind of issue with my kr-57wv700. Blue and red turn on (no green) for a couple seconds then shuts off with seven blinking lights. Upon inspection found that there is a burnt out resistor on the CG board. Resistor should be .980k getting .811k now. Do you think the ic chip on this board is faulty and should be replaced along with resistor or is there also other things I\'m not seeing that need looking into.

First 650 characters of this postHi, If it\'s power cycling where it\'s turning off and on it could be the ballast/lamp driver. I would clean out the back since it could be due to overheating. Continuously blinking is usually a lamp replacement. You could run the self diagnostic test that is in the Frequently Asked questions thread. I just saw another thread that I just responded to with the same model KDF46E2000 that had optical block issues.Sony will repair it for free until June 2010. Not entirely sure that this is the problem. However, you could call them and they will send a repair person t

First 650 characters of this postI recently was given a Sony kv34xbr910.  It has the intermittent blinking 6-7 light problem that I have been reading about, so I am going to replace the two mcz3100d IC's.  The set works if I unplug it for several hours and plug it back in.  I took out the D board, and the replacement of the IC's looks doable.  I have some soldering experience, and I have found enough info. to help me out.  Here is the first question.  Should I use an 18-pin socket or not?  I have seen both pro and con arguments, and I do not know what to do

First 650 characters of this postHi All I have the above problem and was seeking some advice. The TV is 2 years old and has been fine until yesterday. I have read the codes and am slightly confused as some places say Backlight and others V STOP? I have done some Fault finding. I dont think my LCD Screen is at fault as when I disconnect it I get the same fault code. I dont think it is the Inverter Board (PCB2676/7) as when I disconnect that either at output or input I get the same fault. I do not think it is the LVDS Board (400HSC4LV2) as I also get the same fault.

First 650 characters of this postHi everyone! I'm a newb around here so be gentle with me (lol).I have a Sony Rear Projection TV model # kp-48v85. It's been doing the 5 blinking light thing for ages and I finally dove into it yesterday armed with schematics. After blowing a lot of dust off of the boards and checking all connections the TV turned on for the first time in over a year. It is now showing one steady blink and the Red lamp isn't working. I've looked all over for a replacement lamp and am wondering where is the best place to go for one? It needs a 07MXC3R / 873357235. Any ideas? Thanks i

First 650 characters of this postHi, I have a KP-65WV600 and am having a horizontal deflection problem also. About two years ago I had some blue retrace lines forming so I adjusted the focus block until it disappeared, and it was fine until a couple of days ago. Two days ago the screen went blue and then the picture shut off and I got the 7 blinking lights. I want to believe that it is the blue CRT. Is this the most probable issue. I found a  company that rebuilds CRT's ( Video Display Corp). They only want $95 to repair the CRT and they offer a one year warranty. Does any one have any experience with this com

    Television TroubleshootingKF-42WE610 5 Blinking Light Code - Fixed !metafizx22009-09-03 03:14
First 650 characters of this postHi, Just reporting back, since this forum helped me fix my TV problem. Sony KF-42WE610 with the dreaded 5 Blinking Light code problem. Display would shut off and then get the code. Ordered the lamp (Sony XL-2100U) and popped that in but it didn't solve the problem.Note: read the info carefully before you buy the lamp, it might not be a Sony part, but a "compatible" part. Still might be ok, but just so you know. Philips actually makes the bulb. Then went to EBay and got the Lamp

First 650 characters of this postHello everyone,I have Sony KV-32HS510 model. It will not turn on and the red light isblinking 6 times.  Can someone please let me know what may be wrong. I read different postsand it seems that for some models 6 blinks mean that something is wrongwith the Thermal fuse or D Board. But thats for different models I was wondering if anyone knows what 6 blinks may mean for KV-32HS510. Thanks for your help in advance.[ This message was edited by: pacanchik on 2009-08-30 18:16 ]

First 650 characters of this post(The blinking light was the Power/Standby.) Our TV shutdown all of a sudden a week and a half ago. (purchased Nov. 2005) Repairman changed the Lamps' Ballast which had a collection of dust.  Dust absorbs moisture.  Moisture corroded circuits, etc. Lamp was getting weak over the years hence the MAXING out on Brightness/Picture. He changed THAT too. .. LOOKS like NEW now!  WooHoo!!!!!! [ This message was edited by: rmz250 on 2009-08-30 00:48 ]

First 650 characters of this postHi!  Thanks in advance for your time.  Here's my story: I've got a Sony KP-61SH10.  It started shutting down and blinking 5 times on the front.   I removed the 'D' board to check for bad solder joints, all seemed very good so I reinstalled 'D' board.  I accidentally plugged one of the connectors (CN517) one pin off center (bad lighting conditions).  Anyway, a lamp on the 'D' board (NL8001) flashed and I unplugged it right away.  The connector I misaligned was sending +5V to ground and -5V to the output of t

First 650 characters of this postI have a KDF-55WF655. I can turn it on and I get both picture and sound for a minute or two the the set shuts down with a blinking green light for a minute or so then turns back on. This repeats until I hit the power button. Sometimes I get 5 flashing red lights after I power down, which I've found in this forum to be a problem with the Power Supply Block (146887511).Even though I still get a picture, my lamp is sitting at 8652 hours so I've decided to replace that first. I was going to hold off on ordering the Power Supply Block until after I swap out the Lamp, unless someone thin
